Rob is now a consultant and was the founding managing director, with over 45 years of legal experience, principally in the areas of commercial litigation and disciplinary law. He assisted businesses in a wide range of compliance and litigation matters and individuals, community organisations and local authorities in planning and environment litigation. He managed the practice for over three decades, spanning its evolution from the Gold Coast’s first established law firm, Price & Roobottom, to the boutique litigation practice Potts Lawyers.
Rob currently consults in the area of professional occupational discipline. He assists lawyers in their disciplinary dealings with the Legal Services Commission and the Queensland Law Society and has been recommended by the Queensland Law Society and Lexon Insurance.
Rob was a member and past Chair of the Queensland Law Society Ethics Committee, on which he served for 12 years and the Litigation Rules Committee. He contributed to the development of resources and services for practitioners including the Australian Solicitors Conduct Rules in Practice: a Commentary, Guidance Statements and Non-Binding Rulings.
