Max is a criminal lawyer based in our Gold Coast office. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the University of Queensland and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the College of Law.
Max has worked in criminal law since 2022, working as a law clerk at a leading criminal law firm while completing his law degree, where he gained extensive experience across the wide range of matters that can come across the desk of a criminal lawyer on a daily basis.
Prior to commencing with Potts Lawyers, Max served for a year as an associate to a Judge of the Supreme Court of Queensland. Working as a judge’s associate in the Supreme Court gave Max exposure to both criminal trials and sentences for major offences such as murder and drug trafficking, while also allowing him to gain experience in Supreme Court bail applications and appeals from other Queensland Courts to the Queensland Court of Appeal.
Max understands that facing criminal charges can be one of the most stressful experiences in a person’s life. He is committed to ensuring that the individual behind each of his matters feels informed, supported and confident throughout the legal process and takes pride in delivering practical advice tailored to each of his client’s unique circumstances.
Max practises in Criminal, Traffic and Domestic Violence Law across both Queensland and New South Wales.
