Man in Court over McDonalds Video
A Gold Coast McDonalds manager charged with secretly filming young employees getting dressed in a change-room will be sentenced in May.
Police allege Leigh Shannon Dauncey, 21, blu-tacked a video recording device on a change room shelf at the southern Gold Coast restaurant in February this year.
He appeared in the Southport Magistrates Court today flanked by lawyer Bill Potts to face five counts of making recordings in breach of privacy.
Court documents allege that between February 23 and 26 the assistant manager positioned the camera to capture female employees getting dressed before their shifts. It is alleged a male employee discovered the camera and reported it.
Police allegedly discovered images from the camera on Dauncey’s laptop.
A further charge of indecent treatment of a minor has been dropped by police.
Dauncey will face sentencing on May 17.
